Planning Mobile Spray Tans for a Venice or Sarasota Bridal Party
There are approximately 400 things to coordinate for a wedding weekend.
Your bridal party spray tans do not need to become number 401.
One of my favorite things about offering mobile group spray tans is that everyone can get their glow in one place. No sending six bridesmaids to six different appointments. No coordinating who has a car. No driving back to the hotel or Airbnb freshly sprayed.

So whether everyone is staying together in Venice, getting ready near Sarasota, or gathering at a home around Wellen Park, here's how I recommend planning a bridal party spray tan appointment so the whole thing feels easy.
How Do Bridal Party Spray Tans Work?
Instead of everyone booking separate salon appointments, we choose one location and I bring the mobile spray tan setup there.
Each person is sprayed individually.
And this part is important:
Everyone does not get the same spray tan.
Your bridal party may all be wearing the same dress color, but you probably don't all have the same skin.
One person may be very fair.
Someone else may naturally tan easily.
One bridesmaid may want the slightest amount of warmth.
Another is going to look at me and say:
“Make me dark.”
I customize each glow based on the person standing in front of me—their natural skin tone, undertones, desired depth and schedule.
The goal is for the group to look beautiful together in photos without looking like everyone was dipped into the exact same shade of tan.
When Should a Bridal Party Get Spray Tans Before the Wedding?
For most bridal parties, I recommend scheduling the group spray tan about 1–2 days before the wedding.
For a Saturday wedding, Thursday is often a really good option.
That gives everyone's color time to develop, complete the first rinse and settle before the wedding.
If there is a Friday rehearsal dinner, welcome party or another event everyone wants to be tan for, we may move the appointment slightly earlier.
The important thing is that we're looking at the whole wedding weekend, not only the ceremony.

Does the Entire Bridal Party Need to Book the Same Spray Tan?
No.
And I actually prefer that you don't choose everyone's service based on what one person likes.
Glow by Dominique offers Classic, Rapid and Clear spray tans, and different options may make sense for different people.
For example:
One bridesmaid may be completely fine wearing a Classic solution longer.
Someone else may absolutely want to rinse within a few hours and prefer Rapid.
Another may love Clear because she doesn't want cosmetic bronzer on her skin while everyone is hanging around together afterward.
Same bridal party.
Different skin.
Different schedules.
Different preferences.
That's okay.
If everyone is staring at the service options thinking, We have absolutely no idea what we're doing, don't worry. That's also very normal.
I can help everyone figure out what makes the most sense.
Where Can You Have a Mobile Bridal Party Spray Tan?
The biggest thing I need is an appropriate private space to set up.
For my mobile setup, I ask for approximately a 6' × 6' clean area, access to two electrical outlets, good lighting and ventilation.
A home or vacation rental can often work really well because everyone is already together and can comfortably change and relax afterward.
If you're staying at a hotel or rental property, it's always a good idea to make sure the property allows outside beauty services and that we have an appropriate private space for the appointment.
You don't need to transform the room into a spray tan studio.
I bring the studio with me.
What Should Everyone Wear After the Appointment?
This is the text I would send to the group ahead of time:
Loose. Dark. Comfortable.
Think oversized T-shirts, loose pajama pants, relaxed sweatpants or other clothing that isn't going to press tightly against the skin.
This is not the night for:
Skinny jeans.
A tight sports bra.
Your shapewear.
Or the adorable matching bridal set that is essentially compression clothing with feathers.
Save that one for after everyone rinses.
The less rubbing and friction against a developing tan, the better.
Should Everyone Prep the Same Way?
The basic prep instructions are the same, but everyone's skin is obviously different.
In general, everyone should complete exfoliation and hair removal ahead of the appointment and arrive with clean skin without heavy lotions, body oils or deodorant that could interfere with the solution.
What I don't want is the bridal group chat convincing everyone to aggressively scrub themselves within an inch of their lives the morning of the appointment.
More exfoliation does not automatically mean a better spray tan.

Should the Bride Get Sprayed First or Last?
I usually like to plan the order based on the group and what makes the appointment flow best.
There isn't a magical rule that says the bride absolutely has to go first.
Sometimes she wants to go first so she can relax afterward.
Sometimes she's still running around doing approximately six other wedding things and becomes person number four.
Both are fine.
What matters more is having everyone ready when it's their turn.
For larger groups, keeping the appointment moving makes a huge difference.
If someone disappears to take a 30-minute shower when she's supposed to be next, the schedule gets interesting very quickly.
How Long Does a Bridal Party Spray Tan Appointment Take?
Group appointments obviously take longer than spraying one client because every person still receives an individual consultation and customized application.
I don't want to rush through everyone just because it's a group.
Each person still deserves to feel comfortable, choose the right color and understand her rinse instructions.
The easiest way to keep things moving is to have everyone:
already showered and prepped
dressed in something easy to change out of
free of lotion, oils and deodorant
ready when it's their turn
have their post-tan clothing nearby
I handle the tanning.
You handle keeping the bridesmaid who is always late on schedule.
We all have our roles.
Do Bridal Party Spray Tans All Need to Be the Same Darkness?
Definitely not.
This is one of the biggest differences between how I approach a group and simply spraying everyone with the same formula.
I've been a licensed esthetician for more than 16 years, and skin is always the starting point for me.
I'm looking at each person's natural coloring and undertones before deciding what makes sense.
A very fair bridesmaid should not automatically receive the same depth as someone with a naturally medium or deeper complexion simply because they're standing next to each other in photos.
I want everyone to look like the best version of herself.
That's what creates a beautiful bridal party.
Not making six different women the exact same shade of brown.
What If Someone in the Bridal Party Has Never Had a Spray Tan?
Totally fine.
Group appointments are actually a really nice way to have your first spray tan because you're surrounded by people you know instead of walking into an unfamiliar salon alone.
I'll talk through the process before we start and tell each person exactly what to do.
There is no expectation that you already know how to stand, pose or choose a shade.
You are allowed to show up knowing absolutely nothing about spray tanning.
I do this part for a living.
Can the Bride Do a Trial Before the Group Appointment?
Yes—and I strongly recommend it if this is your first time being sprayed by me.
The bride's trial and the bridal party appointment serve two different purposes.
The trial gives us the chance to perfect your wedding color ahead of time.
Then when wedding week arrives, we're not experimenting.
We already know what you loved.
You can use a bridal shower, engagement photos, bachelorette weekend or another event as your trial so you actually get to enjoy the tan too.
Your bridesmaids don't necessarily all need trials, but the bride is the one person I really don't want trying something completely new during wedding week if we can avoid it.
Are There Travel Fees for Bridal Party Spray Tans?
One of the benefits of booking everyone together is the group travel policy.
For group appointments of two or more clients at the same location, there is no travel fee within 25 miles of Downtown Wellen Park.
For locations beyond 25 miles, a travel fee may apply and can be confirmed before the appointment.
This makes group appointments especially convenient for wedding parties staying together around Wellen Park, Venice, North Port and many surrounding Sarasota County locations.
What About Sarasota Destination Weddings?
Mobile spray tanning makes a lot of sense for destination wedding groups because everyone is often already staying together.
If you're coming into Venice or Sarasota from out of town, my biggest recommendation is:
Don't wait until you arrive to start figuring this out.
Wedding weekends fill up quickly.
Before the trip, decide:
When everyone arrives.
Where the group will be staying.
Which events everyone wants to be tan for.
When nails, waxing and other beauty appointments are happening.
How many people want to be sprayed.
Then we can choose the day that makes the most sense.
That way the spray tan becomes part of the plan instead of another last-minute thing the bride suddenly remembers while everyone is already in Florida.
A Simple Bridal Party Spray Tan Checklist
If you're the bride, maid of honor or designated person who somehow became responsible for organizing everybody, here's what I would have ready:
Before booking:
Know approximately how many people want to be sprayed.
Choose the location.
Look at the wedding-week schedule.
Decide which event you want everyone's tan ready for.
Before the appointment:
Make sure everyone has received the prep instructions.
Have everyone showered and ready beforehand.
Ask everyone to bring loose, dark clothing.
Have a private area available for changing.
Make sure the spray area has enough room, ventilation and access to outlets. Glow's mobile setup requires a clean, well-lit space of at least approximately 6' × 6' with access to two outlets.
And most importantly:
Do not make the bride manage everyone's rinse time.
